Synopsis: Early in the 20th Century, Essex, being the driest part of the UK, gained a then major investment to gather and pump water reliably using mighty Lilleshall engines. Half a century later these engines at Langford were redundant. A group of enthusiasts then moved in, restored the engines and set up one of the most promising independent registered museums.
