Introduction

Royal Society Theo Murphy international scientific meeting organised by Professor Henning Sirringhaus FRS, Professor Anthony Cheetham FRS, Professor Wenping Hu and Professor Deqing Zhang. This workshop will bring together UK and Chinese chemists, materials scientists and physicists working in the field of functional materials for applications such as electronics, optoelectronics, energy conversion and storage. The meeting will stimulate an in-depth, interdisciplinary dialogue on common challenges in materials design, synthesis, processing, physical characterisation and theoretical modelling of these materials and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
