Beer, otherwise known as the 'Drink of England', has been produced in Faversham for over 850 years and the Shepherd Neame Brewery, set in the heart of this historic market town, is open to visitors who wish to discover more about this proudly independent family company and its wide range of award winning beers.
During this visit you will have an exclusive 80-minute tour of the brewery, a fascinating tutored and tasting session and an ale supper of your choice served in the Visitor Centre bar. Of course, there's also time for a pint or two with your meal! Finally, visit the Brewery Shop and pick up a souvenir, gift or some beer! The whole visit, including the ale supper will start at 7pm, takes 3 - 3½ hours and should finish no later than 10.30pm.
There are two staircases (with handrails) on the tour route; therefore, it is advised that the tour may be difficult for infirm visitors and is not suitable for wheelchair users. A "virtual tour” with a guide for such visitors can be arranged. Please make a note on the reply slip if you require a virtual tour.
