Often times, postgraduate students are faced with the difficulty of accessing the needed knowledge such as equipment location to carry out analysis, designing research methods, paper presentation at conferences, locating and linking with research mentors, drafting research articles, accessing grants, publishing, and general research networking/collaboration. We plan to create a social enterprise or network that can bring together, motivate, support and develop postgraduate students in science to defeat their research needs and reach the top of their career. This maiden network is for postgraduate science students from different universities for which a leadership will be nominated and formally inaugurated in November 2024. Their responsibility will be to stir the networks aims and objectives to include conferences, workshops and other activities in the coming years.
Topics to be delivered at the one day event includes:
i) Developing through conference and workshop participationsii) Developing through collaboration and research
iii) Developing through networking with fellow postgraduate students and mentors
iv) The benefits of becoming a member of professional bodies
v) The importance and features of a good networking platform
