In 1989 in Pasadena, Texas, a devastating explosion took place in the Phillips 66 Houston Chemical Complex. The explosion and resulting fire killed 23 and caused over $3bn of damage. It also had a major impact on the development and modernisation of Process Safety Management (PSM) in the US and around the world.
Scott Jackson is the Technology Manager at Ineos Manufacturing in Grangemouth and current chair of the mid Scotland Local Section.
