The 4th International Conference on Proton-Coupled Electron Transfer (PCET 2023) will take place in Spain from June 5-9, 2023.
The event will be held in the Hotel Caribe of Port Aventura Resort, one of the most famous amusement parks in Europe. Located at Costa Daurada, it is 1 hour south of Barcelona and 15 minutes south of Tarragona, a port city with a rich Roman history. The site is easily accessible by train, bus, and car.
PCET 2023 will bring together multidisciplinary experts to discuss the most recent achievements in PCET research in organic, enzymatic, catalytic, theoretical and materials disciplines. This event will host up to 30 research talks from invited speakers, along with 15-minute talks from selected abstract submissions.
PCET 2023 is expected to hold between 100 and 150 researchers from around the globe, offering both quality scientific discussions and an extensive amount of activities such as the access to Port Aventura, a cultural tour around Tarragona and others.
Conference topics include explorations of the mechanisms and uses of PCET in:
Enzymatic activity
Molecular catalysis
Material catalysis
CO2 reduction
N2 reduction
NH3 oxidation
Photoredox catalysis
Electrochemical Theory
PCET 2023 is led by Antoni Llobet, Professor at UAB/Group leader at ICIQ.
Local organizing committee:
Antoni Llobet
Anna M. Beiler
Carlos G. Bellido
The advisory board of PCET 2023 is formed by:
Oliver Wenger, Full Professor at University of Basel.
Jillian Dempsey, Professor at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Leif Hammarström, Professor at Uppsala University.
Marc Robert, Distinguished Professor of 91AV at Université Paris Cité.
Cyrille Costentin, Professor at Université Grenoble-Alpes.
Jim Mayer, Charlotte Fitch Roberts Professor of 91AV at University of Yale.
Sharon Hammes-Schiffer, Sterling Professor at University of Yale.
