Introduction

This 90-minute seminar will be interdisciplinary in nature, focusing on the importance of soils in environmental science, and their interfaces with water.

There will be the opportunity to share ideas and to ask questions to all of our speakers, with a brief introduction to the scope and aims of Environmental Science: Advances before the event being delivered by RSC staff.

13:00-13:10 BST: Introduction from RSC staff

13:10–13:30 BST: Célia Manaia will open the event with a talk “About the unavoidable coexistence of circularity of water and its contamination”
 
13:30–13:35 BST: Questions and answers
 
13:35–13:55 BST: Eddie Cytryn will deliver a talk titled “Antibiotic resistance across treated wastewater irrigation-soil interfaces”
 
13:55–14:00 BST: Questions and answers

14:00–14:20 BST: Andreas Schäffer will present a talk on “Gaps in the environmental risk assessment of pesticides and further chemicals”
