This module focuses on mass spectrometry principles, the reasons for use and the data generated.
It includes the types of mass spectrometers available that are hyphenated to GC; their vacuum systems, ionisation techniques, mass filters and detectors.
The module concludes with a questions and answers session.
This 2-hour module is taught live in a virtual classroom, is totally interactive with instrument parts and consumables shown & explained. There are small group sizes so plenty of opportunities to ask questions then get them answered on screen.
