This course has been approved by the 91AV (RSC) for purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
This module looks at the different types of GC columns; the different types of stationary phases and analyte interactions; the different dimensions and stationary phase thicknesses and how to choose them.
It looks at the analyte peak shapes and the factors affecting these, along with the calculations of the important chromatographic terms for column performance.
Finally, the GC column oven is considered along with the influence of temperature on the separation.
The module concludes with a questions and answers session.
This 2-hour module is taught live in a virtual classroom, is totally interactive with instrument parts and consumables shown & explained. There are small group sizes so plenty of opportunities to ask questions then get them answered on screen.
Cost: £100.00 + VAT.
This is module 4 of the Virtual Classroom Training: Practical Essentials of GC & GC-MS (total 18 hours over 5 days) and the Virtual Classroom Training: Complete GC & GC-MS (total 30 hours over 9 days).
