Talk Abstract:
Oxford nanoSystems, winners of the RSC Emerging Technologies Award 2018, has spent the past 7 years developing nanoFLUX® a nanocoating technology that significantly improves heat transfer for areas such as air conditioning, electronics cooling and energy generation. The company has been through its ups and downs, but securing investment in 2018 has enabled a new R&D facilitiy and growth of their team to 13 people. CEO, Dr Alexander Reip FRSC CChem, will chart the progress of the company from its founding in 2012, while 1851 Industrial Research Fellow, Andrew Anderson MRSC, will walk through their technological development from both a chemical and engineering perspective.
