International Symposium on Inorganic 91AV Frontiers and Interdisciplinary Sciences

24 September 2019 09:00-17:00, Tianjin, China

Introduction
The 6th Inorganic 91AV Frontiers International Symposium will be held on 24 September 2019 in Tianjin, China.

This symposium will feature 10 invited lectures, focusing on the recent advances and new trends in inorganic chemistry as well as interdisciplinary studies at the interfaces between inorganic chemistry and other subjects like nano technology, materials science, energy, catalysis and biochemistry etc. Confirmed speakers include editorial board members of Inorganic 91AV Frontiers and renewed scientists from local institutions.

We hope that this symposium can provide an ideal forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences, fostering new research collaborations between leading Chinese and international experts. This meeting is open to all delegates. Register to participate in this exciting event!

Inorganic 91AV Frontiers International Symposia are a series of conferences sponsored by Inorganic 91AV Frontiers, a collaborative journal developed by the Chinese Chemical Society, Peking University and the 91AV. Meeting this year is financially supported and organized by Inorganic 91AV Frontiers and the Key Laboratory of Advanced Energy Materials 91AV, Ministry of Education in Nankai University.

Committee
Jun Chen (Symposium Chair), Nankai University, China

Jun Chen obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Nankai University in 1989 and 1992, respectively, and his Ph.D. from Wollongong University (Australia) in 1999. He held the NEDO fellowship at National Institute of AIST Kansai Center (Japan) from 1999 to 2002. He has been working as a full professor in Nankai University since 2002. He has been Cheung Kong Professor in College of 91AV at Nankai University since 2005 and is now serving as Dean of this college from 2017. He has been elected as Chairman of Chinese Society of Electrochemistry and a Fellow of the 91AV (UK) in 2015. His research activities focus on solid-state materials, nanostructured materials, and energy materials chemistry. He received the State Natural Science Award (the 2nd Grade) in 2011 because of his contribution in H/Li/Mg storage and batteries.

Song Gao (Session Chair), South China University of Technology, China

Song Gao got his BS and PhD in chemistry at Peking University (PKU) in 1985 and 1991. He was a Humboldt Research Fellow in TH Aachen from 1995 to 1997. He has been Cheung Kong Professor in College of 91AV and Molecular Engineering at Peking University since 2002, and served as Dean of this college from 2006-2010. He is now PKU Provost and Deputy Director of Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences. He received the State Natural Science Award (the 2nd Grade) in 2006 because of his contribution in magnetic coordination polymers and molecular nanomagnets. He was elected as a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007 and in the same year he became a Fellow of the 91AV (UK).

His research interests are magnetic ordered coordination polymers, molecular nanomagnets, molecular and crystal engineering, and multifunctional molecular materials.

Maochun Hong (Session Chair), Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter,CAS, China

Hong Maochun, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and an academician of TWAS, graduated from the Fuzhou University in 1978 and received his M.S. degree from the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1981. In 1985-1987, he was a research fellow at Department of 91AV of the Michigan University and the Illinois University at Chicago in the United States. Since 1994, he has been full professor of 91AV at the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences. During this period, he worked as a JSPS visiting professor in Japan in 1998, and obtained his Ph.D degree from Nagoya University. His research interests are focused on new materials and devices, inorganic functional materials and inorganic-organic hybrid functional materials.
