How will Plan S affect you?
Plan S is the proposal that all funded research be published open access from January 2020.
There’s been no shortage of opinions from publishers, funders and learned societies on the implications of this proposal, but the voice of researchers has got a little lost.
We think researchers should have the opportunity to weigh in and be heard on an issue that affects them.
We recently published a brief animated video highlighting some of the key questions about Plan S. But that’s just the beginning.
In person or online, we’d like to invite you to join us for a special event taking place at our London home.
An informed panel will be debating the implications of Plan S. They’ll be focusing on how the proposal affects researchers so it’s important that you’re a part of it.
We’re livestreaming this special event so you can ask your questions in person or online, as the debate is happening. You can even send us your questions in advance to policy@rsc.org.
