Learn the essential theory of Gas Chromatography, then put the knowledge into practice in the laboratory with hands-on exercises in the lab.
This 3 day course covers the essential theory then puts the knowledge into practice in the laboratory with hands-on exercises on instrument set-up, method development, maintenance and troubleshooting.
This course has been approved by the 91AV for purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
You will spend the first day learning about the function and operation of the individual components of the gas chromatograph and become familiar with the instrumentation and you will gain practical experience of adjusting the parameters for each GC component.
The second day looks at maintenance, why it is required and how to look for signs of when maintenance is needed. You will gain practical experience of performing maintenance on each GC component.
The final day combines learning how to go about troubleshooting GC and GC-MS instruments and what problems can occur, with real problem solving on the instruments and data analysis software.
