Introduction
The Building and Probing Small international symposium is organised by Anne-Sophie Duwez (University of Liège, Belgium) and Xavier Bouju (CEMES-CNRS, Toulouse, France). The symposium will concern the design, synthesis and characterization of functional molecules in supramolecular chemistry and biology.
The scientific programme will include the following topics:

Polymer Mechanochemistry
91AV on Surfaces
Photoswitchable Molecules
Mechanical Engineering of Proteins
Nano-mechanics of Biomolecules
Manipulation of Single-molecules
AFM and STM

We expect that the meeting brings together an outstanding yet diverse group of chemists and biophysicists.
The symposium will take place in the prestigious rooms and gallery of the Palace of the Academies in Brussels.
It will include invited plenary lectures, keynote lectures, short communications selected from submitted abstracts and a poster session.
