Registration starts at 2pm and the meeting will start at 2:15pm. The event will run to approximately 4:45pm.
The meeting is for East Midlands Local Section members. The event will include presentations highlighting the international role of the centre, the interesting research projects the staff at the centre have been involved or are involved in and an overview of the science of brewing. Following the presentations, attendees are invited to tour of the facility to meet researchers and observe some brewing technology in action. The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and will involve standing/walking for most of this time. The tour route can be adapted to suit mobility needs and attendees. Attendees will be provided with laboratory coats if required. If possible attendees should please bring their own laboratory safety spectacles. No other personal protective equipment is required for this visit although wearing footwear which is suitable for walking/standing during the tour is recommended.
The ICBS is located just off the A6 to the north of Sutton Bonington. There is parking available on-site, including disabled parking. If you require disabled parking or a spot near to the main entrance to be reserved for you please let me know when you register for the event. The site is accessible by public transport with regular bus links to East Midlands Parkway, Nottingham and Loughborough train stations. Loughborough is the nearest train station.
This is a free event and places are limited to 20 people and likely to be booked up fast.
