De Montfort University are delighted to welcome alumnus Professor Andy Garner for an inspiring and informative lecture focusing on his career in gastroenterology.
Andy, who completed his PhD at the Leicester School of Pharmacy under the supervision of Basil Northover, has held senior positions at various universities in the UK, Europe, USA and Middle East along with executive posts in the NHS and the pharmaceutical industry.
Over the course of his career, Andy has published over 100 papers and edited six books. He is a recipient of the Research Gold Medal of the British Society of Gastroenterology and was awarded a DSc in 1990 for his contribution to understanding the pathophysiology of gastrointestinal disorders.
The event will begin with drinks and canapés, starting at 5pm, at De Montfort University, Hugh Aston Building, The Newarke, Leicester, LE2 7BY. The lecture will begin promptly at 6pm. After the lecture, there will be networking opportunities over drinks and a buffet supper.
