The aim of this meeting is to present current work on several species of yeasts in the fields of biotechnologies and health. Themes will cover the exploration of biodiversity of these species; exploitation of genomic data and modeling of cellular function; development of new biotechnological processes for the food, chemical and pharmacological industries; use of yeasts as models of human pathologies; and also the study of pathogenic yeasts.Newest results and the current technological developments in these fields will be presented and discussed.
