You’ll start in the stunning floating Lakeside Education Centre. You’ll learn about why you need to separate your household rubbish properly and what happens to the materials that can’t be recycled. You’ll join a challenge to work out what to do with difficult wastes and check out the chemical properties of different packaging.
Then you’ll dress up in Dayglo jackets, hard hats and goggles to see the control room at the heart of the Lakeside facility – and actually watch the rubbish burning at 850°, just like in Toy Story 3!
