In the past few years several breakthroughs have increased interest in epigenetics; it has become clear that a good understanding of epigenetics will be essential in work related to many topics which require a thorough understanding of all aspects of genetics (e.g. stem cell research, aging, synthetic biology, agriculture etc.). Tools and techniques used in analytical chemistry will be important for the progression of epigenetics and hence, epigenetics has been chosen as the theme for the fourth workshop in the series entitled 'Analytical Tools for the Life Sciences'.
The programme will feature speakers from both chemistry and the life sciences and there will be plenty of networking opportunities. All lectures will be suitable for researchers in chemical science, biology, engineering and medicine.
