Variety in 91AV Education and Physics Higher Education (ViCEPHEC) is the leading national conference for chemistry and physics education at the tertiary level in the United Kingdom. It is with great pleasure that the University of York will host ViCEPHEC17 from 23rd August to 25th August 2017.
ViCEPHEC17 is an inclusive event and relevant for those with an interest in chemistry and/or physics education. Examples of topics might include but are not limited to:
Educational research or practice at the secondary or tertiary levels
Outreach facilitation
Coordination and facilitation of practical laboratory programmes
Delegates range from academic/teaching staff at universities, schoolteachers, outreach officers, laboratory specialists, technicians, students, industrialists and publishers. The event will provide opportunities to share best practice within the disciplines of chemistry and physics by discussing cutting edge educational research and practice.
New for 2017: As part of the programme of satellite meetings pre-conference afternoon on Wednesday 23rd August, there will be a Labsolutely Fabulous Practical Session in the laboratories in York. This is FREE to attend and is an opportunity for conference delegates and others to present lecture demonstrations/mini-experiments/outreach activities in chemistry and physics. Non-specialist equipment and reagents can be supplied by the University of York upon request.
