The TAC 2017 Conference of the Thermal Methods Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry will be held in the School of 91AV, University of Lincoln, on the 11th & 12th April 2017. The main theme of the meeting will be "Problem Solving using a Combination of Thermal Analysis Techniques". In addition, there will be a general session covering all aspects of thermal analysis and calorimetry. Registration fee would be £250 per delegate or £150 for students
Papers (oral or poster) are welcome in any area of thermal analysis and calorimetry and those wishing to submit a paper are invited to send a short abstract (100-200 words) to the TMG Secretary, Catherine Barnes at: catherine.x.barnes@gsk.com.
TAC 2017 Short Course
The Conference will be preceded by a one day intensive short training course which will be held on the 10th April 2017, at the University of Lincoln, entitled “Complementary Techniques in Thermal Analysis”. The course will show how a range of thermal techniques can be combined to enable a more complete characterisation of the properties of materials. Course attendance cost would be £185, or £125 for students, to include a copy of “Principles of Thermal Analysis & Calorimetry” 2nd ed (2016 eds: S Gaisford, V Kett & P Haines) RSC Press. A discount would apply if attending both Short Course and the TAC meeting.
For further details of the Conference or Course and to register to attend please email Glynn van de Velde at glynnv@btinternet.com
