Hosted as part of W5’s exploration into the science of sport, Fantastic Plastics will look at the applications of these fabulous materials in sports clothing, equipment, and even prosthetic limbs for paralympians! What links Lego™ blocks, zero pollution cars, disposable nappies, liquids that flow up hill, and false legs? What’s this got to do with slime? And how can you use all this to make a Million?
A 1 hour demonstration lecture for GCSE science students covering polymers – and enterprise! There are two lecture times, 10.30-11.30am and 1-2pm. Pupils can visit the exhibition floors of W5 both before and after their lecture and W5 will provide lunch areas if required.
