This seminar will focus on reforms to vocational qualifications in England, as Ofqual prepares to introduce new regulatory arrangements following the withdrawal of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) rules in December 2014.
Delegates will discuss the likely impact of the proposed reforms to regulation and how new performance measures, to be introduced from 2016, will impact on the quality, comparability and the choice of qualifications offered to students. They will also examine the implementation so far of Tech Levels and Applied General Qualifications, both introduced in 2014, as well as the delivery of the new Technical Certificates and Technical Awards, to be taught from September 2015.
Further sessions will focus on the role of employers, industry and universities in delivering and developing vocational qualifications as well as the impact that changes to funding arrangements for 16-19 olds have had on the provision of vocational qualifications.
This conference will bring together Parliamentarians and senior officials with key stakeholders including school and college leaders, academics, and representatives from higher education, industry, businesses, awarding bodies and trade associations.
