Advances in Fingerprint Detection

Introduction
Lecture on detection of traces of chemicals including drugs and drug metabolites in fingerprints by Dr Amanda Boddis of Liverpool John Moores University. Amanda is an early career researcher whose research interests include the detection of drugs of abuse in fingerprints and the chemical development of fingerprints. The presentation will provide information about how functionalised gold nanoparticles and magnetic particles can be used for the detection of drugs in fingerprints. Also details will be provided about the detection of fingerprints on fabric.

A buffet will be available from 7pm and the lecture will start at 7.30
