FBpol2014 will provide the French, Brazilian (and beyond) polymer communities with an opportunity to meet and discuss the mission & challenges of new (bio)materials and (nano)technology for the 21st century. This conference will cover a broad range of topics in the area of functional soft-matter. It scientific programme will consist of 40 invited lectures (20 Brazil, 16 France, 3 Japan, 1 Hong-Kong, 1 Taiwan & 1 USA researchers), oral and poster communications selected from contributed abstracts as well exhibitions from private companies & sponsors.
FBPol2014 will cover the following 15 topics (T1-15):
T1 Macromolecular Engineering & Controlled Architectures
T2: Synthetic, Natural Macromolecules, Block Copolymers and Glycopolymers
T3: Polysaccharides, Oligosaccharides, Oligonucleotides, Peptides
T4: Self-Assembly and Nano-Objects: Nanoparticles & Thin Films
T5: Polymers for nanoelectronics (nanolithography, solar cells, NIL Stamps,…)
T6: Nanoparticles and Patches in Drug Delivery
T7: Soft Matter Characterization (Scattering, Imaging, Rheology, microfluidic,…)
T8: (Bio)Polymers for health and cosmetology
T9: NanoBioSciences & Biomimetic materials
T10: Soft, biological materials (cartilage, tissues, cells, etc.)
T11: Polyelectrolytes and Gels
T12: Polymers at interfaces
T13: Polymers Processing and Biodegradability
T14: Wood, fibers, plants and tools for green chemistry
T15: Electrospinning Polymer Fibres
The goal of this conference is to bring together scientists and engineers from universities, industries and government institutions to exchange views on the latest developments, uses and applications of polymeric systems. Mechanisms for more efficient collaborations between Brazilian and French Universities will be pursued as part of the mission of the series of FBPol conference.
Due to space constraint within the premises of the Jurerê Beach Village, Jurerê Internacional Florianopolis, SC, Brazil, the number of participants will be limited: if or once the number of participants will reach the maximum organizational capability, the organizing committee will close registrations. Seats will be delivered on a "first arrived, first served" basis providing an effective payment of registration fees. Only participants with fully confirmed payment will be considered as fully registered. We encourage therefore participants to secure their participation as early as possible: Early bird registration fees will apply until Oct. 31, 2014.
