2014 Gordon Research Seminar on Water & Aqueous Solutions

26 - 27 July 2014, United States

Introduction
The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on Water & Aqueous Solutions is a unique forum for graduate students and post-docs to network and present new, cutting-edge research to their peers. The focus of this meeting is H2O, one of the simplest chemical formulas one can possibly encounter. However, its microscopic and macroscopic properties are anything but simple. The presentations during this GRS will focus on the properties of water at hydrophobic, hydrophilic and air-water interfaces, as well as in confined environments, its role in biological processes and the solvation of biomolecules, its phase diagram and the various anomalies associated with its liquid and solid forms. We welcome participants from all over the world working in a broad range of experimental, computational and theoretical water research fields. The GRS will run immediately before the associated GRC for which all interested GRS participants are strongly encouraged to also apply to.
