Introduction

Designing drugs to fight diseases that cause high mortality and morbidity amongst the people of the developing world is a global challenge. This meeting will focus on medicinal chemistry approaches to making new medicines, with keynote talks from international experts, accompanied by a series of perspectives detailing case histories in drug discovery. The exciting spread of themes should attract delegates from both industry and academia, highlighting the latest developments in tackling malaria, TB and kinetoplastid diseases.
