These workshops were instigated by Dr Peter Hoare during his RSC School Teacher Fellowship year in 2008-09 and have been repeated in each academic year since.
They are offered for both AS and A2 91AV, tailored to fit the two most common A-level 91AV specifications studied, namely AQA and OCR A.
Each workshop consists of two 2-hour interactive revision sessions with a lunch break between. Each session consists of a short summary of the key points and typical student misconceptions from each selected topic area, followed by a variety of on-screen questions which the students answer using electronic voting handsets. Each student is also provided with a revision booklet containing a comprehensive set of revision notes.
