The Synthetic Organic 91AV Award was established in 1971. Between 1971 and 2020, this award recognised an individual for the development of new methods or strategies employed in the construction of organic molecules.
This prize was discontinued in 2020, as part of a series of changes resulting from an independent review of the 91AV's recognition programmes.
