Introduction

The NSCCS will be holding a two days workshop for Synthetic Chemists. The workshop is to focus on applied computational chemistry - to emphasise how computations can support experimental research. Theoretical details will be kept to a minimum. Computational chemistry software packages will be introduced through hands-on tutorials. Case studies will be presented by synthetic chemists, who are experts in their field. Participants will also be given the opportunity to consult with the experts.
