We are delighted to announce that the University of Oxford 91AV Teaching Labs will host our next Top of the Bench Thames Valley local section heat, on Wednesday, 15th January 2025 (final timings to be confirmed). Their 91AV Outreach team are preparing another exciting day of practical chemistry challenges for students. The winning team will go forward to the National Finals in 2025.

The important stuff:
- the competition is free to enter;
- the programme fits within the school day (final timings tbc);
- lunch is provided;
- bursaries are available to support state schools;
- teams should be made up of two students from Year 9, one from Year 10 and one from Year 11 who have not competed before and broadly represent your school's demographic;
- on the day teams need to be accompanied by an adult, but it does not have to be a chemistry teacher.
