We're excited to announce the return of the 54th Universities of Scotland Inorganic 91AV (USIC) Conference 2024 in Edinburgh, from 25th to 26th June. After a five-year hiatus, USIC is back, inviting PhD students, postdocs and academics to a unique gathering of inorganic chemistry enthusiasts.
The speaker line-up includes distinguished leaders from the industrial sectors of inorganic chemistry, current RSC President Prof. Gill Reid as well as a keynote Prof. Ludmilla Steier (MRSC), winner of the RSC 2023 Materials 91AV Early Career Prize. Their insights during our "Career Beyond the PhD" panel will illuminate current trends, future opportunities, and the dynamic interface between academia and industry, offering invaluable perspectives for both well-established chemists and emerging scholars.
We are also extending a warm invitation to submit poster and short oral talk (15 min) abstracts (please use the templates provided). Deadline for abstract submission is 31st May 2024.
Moreover, to ensure a truly memorable experience, a traditional Scottish Ceilidh and dinner will be held, providing an exceptional opportunity for socialising and cultural immersion. This lively event promises to be the perfect backdrop for networking, fostering new collaborations, and enjoying the company of fellow inorganic chemistry enthusiasts.
Event Highlights:
Dates: 25th-26th June.
