The Variety in Chemistry Education/ Physics Higher Education Conference is an annual national conference that brings together educators in chemistry and physics to discuss and share developments, ideas, and good practice in learning and teaching at tertiary level.
Format and the 2024 conference
The conference is run in-person with a mixture of talks, invited keynote speakers and interactive workshop and even laboratory-based sessions where colleagues can share best practice, discuss developments in the pedagogy of their subject and share original educational research they have done.
This year’s conference will be Thu 29th and Fri 30th August, held mainly in the Rik Medlik building on Stag Hill campus of the University of Surrey.
An RSC Higher Education Group Satellite Meeting as well as the CTiP (91AV Teaching in Practice) group meeting will also be held on the afternoon of Wed 28th August. More details on these are available on the conference website (https://vicephec24.wordpress.com/), and the website of the RSC HEG.
