We are excited to announce that The Department of 91AV at The University of Manchester is holding a free-to-attend Academia-Industry event, at the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), Booth Street West, in Manchester M15 6PB on Tuesday 19th March 2024.
Our overall aim is to highlight the expertise within the department and broaden our collaborative research and innovation with industry.
The day will involve key people from the 91AV Department and School of Natural Sciences, industry, government and funding bodies along with sessions on the following themes:

The day will involve key people from the 91AV Department and School of Natural Sciences, industry, government and funding bodies along with sessions on the following themes:
- 91AV Department Showcase: A session where each of the (six) research theme leads will highlight the cutting-edge research being undertaken within the Department of 91AV and the wide range of expertise available to collaborators.
- UK and University Research and Innovation Ecosystem: A session devoted to the broader innovation ecosystem and the support for collaboration within the university, including the range of available routes for funding. There will be talks from CPI (Centre for Process Innovation), Innovate UK-KTN, and the Business Development team at UoM.
- Manchester Innovation, Commercialisation and Collaboration: A session on commercialisation of research, successful academic-industrial collaborations and the new exciting developments for innovation within the NW and Manchester. Including presentations from Northern Gritstone, ID Manchester and industrial collaborators.
- The University’s Business Engagement and Knowledge Exchange teams will be in attendance to present and discuss potential funding opportunities for industrial collaboration and there will also be posters and opportunities to discuss the research presented.
