The corrosion control industry has a large part to play in developing sustainable solutions for the energy sector to achieve net zero emissions. We can design systems and procedures that provide corrosion control for the life of the asset, but too often cost becomes the driver in reducing performance from concept to construction. This event will present, debate and challenge current engineering solutions to meet the new challenges facing the industry, including how we can continue providing energy, what can be re-purposed, and the effects on sustainable corrosion control solutions. This will also allow participants to understand the value chain, from concept to end use, and the challenges of various players in the energy sector.
With presentations from industry leaders the conference will be an informative event with the opportunity to network. We will host a Gala Dinner in the library of historic 19th century Neville Hall. Upon arrival guests will be greeted with a prosecco reception, followed by a three course dinner in the evening of the first day.
The North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers (NEIMME) will host the event in Neville Hall on Westgate Road in the heart of Newcastle city centre. It’s ideally located with easy access by train and car, and within walking distance of a number of high standing hotels.
