The 91AV (RSC) is committed to connecting the world of science to advance chemical knowledge for a better future. One of our aims is to support and nurture the careers of our members and chemists around the world.
In 2019, with the purposes to support emerging and early career researchers, we initiated the 1st RSC Emerging Investigator Forum in Xiangshan, Beijing. Then, the 2nd and 3rd Emerging Investigator Forum were co-organized with Soochow University and Xiamen University, respectively. This year, to celebrate 120th anniversary of Shandong University, we are delighted to co-organize the 4th Emerging Investigator Forum with Shandong University in November from 27 to 28. The topic of focus that we have chosen for this year is “Frontiers and Challenges of Energy Electrochemistry”.
The field of energy electrochemistry for the advanced energy conversion and storage has made substantial progress with continuous advances in interface science and nanotechnology. Especially, recent efforts have demonstrated the significant innovation of the in-situ characterization technique and strategy to obtain deep insight into the electrochemical interface reactions for revealing the dynamic evolution and the fundamental mechanism. Along with the fast accumulative knowledge of energy electrochemistry, it is imperative and important to organize such an interdisciplinary forum for sharing recent advances and promoting the future development via deep communications.
The forum will take place over the course of two days and comprise of scientific sessions, round table discussions and social networking activities. Participation in this forum is by invitation only and will be restricted to around 40-50 emerging and early career researchers. The forum will not only offer an excellent opportunity for researchers to present their own work and share their views on long-term development and challenges for their research areas, but also encourage active debates and discussions on cutting-edge and frontier research of energy electrochemistry.
To benefit more people, the scientific session on the first day will be broadcast online.
