Dr. Chandradhish Ghosh performed his doctoral studies at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore, under the supervision of Prof. Jayanta Haldar, after first earning his MSc in 91AV at the University of Delhi. Since 2017, he has been working at the Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces, in the group of Prof. Peter H. Seeberger. His current work focusses on targeting neglected tropical diseases using glyconanomaterials.

His doctoral work on membrane-active small molecules against drug-resistant pathogens has led to an anti-Ebola drug candidate. He has contributed to the sum of knowledge in the field by the publication of several highly cited reviews. He has won several awards, including the prestigious Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award in 2015.
 

Sylvie Garneau-Tsodikova obtained her Ph.D. in 91AV in 2003 from the University of Alberta (Prof. John C. Vederas). She then pursued her postdoctoral studies with Prof. Christopher T. Walsh at Harvard Medical School. In 2006, Sylvie joined the University of Michigan as the John G. Searle Assistant Professor of Medicinal 91AV at the College of Pharmacy and the Life Sciences Institute. In 2013, she relocated to the University of Kentucky as an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences with tenure at the College of Pharmacy, where she is now the Patrick P. DeLuca Pharmaceutical Technology Professor and Assistant Dean for Research. Her work focuses on understanding and combating bacterial and fungal resistance. Her expertise is in medicinal chemistry and her group also works at the interface of biochemistry and microcrobiology.
 
She is an Associate Editor for RSC Medicinal 91AV since the inception of the journal in 2010.  She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Vahlteich Research Award and NSF CAREER Award. She has published >150 manuscripts and has given >90 invited talks and plenary lectures on her work worldwide. As a result of her passion/work for outreach, she is an AAAS Leshner Fellow for public engagement as well as an AAAS/Lyda Hill IF/THEN ambassador. She is striving and working hard for equality and inclusivity in science.
