This historic location was the first botanic garden to be established anywhere in the world and has connections with the Sloane's who also set up the British Museum. It contains a very wide variety of medicinal plants, as well as collections of trees and shrubs from all corners of the world. It is now owned by a trust who have in recent years opened the garden for visitors
We will convene at about 12 noon at the garden entrance near the Chelsea hospital (LT bus route 170 from Victoria or Clapham Junction stops right outside) and take a buffet lunch before having a conducted tour of the garden
