About Organ-2019:
Human organ failure due to traumatic or non-traumatic conditions is a major medical problem existing worldwide. Tissue engineering holds a great promise of providing functional substitutes for diseased or damaged tissues and organs using cells as the basic building block. This strategy will greatly improve the quality of patient's life. The last couple decades have witnessed incredible progress in bioengineered tissues and whole organs, which have saved countless lives. However, there are significant challenges in the clinical translation of bioengineered grafts, which needs to be resolved in the near future.
Considering the colossal interest worldwide, the virtual conference is an initiative of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and Università del Piemonte Orientale (UPO) which provides an excellent platform to bring closer network among the researchers on cell, tissue and organ engineering thematic programme for the exchange of ideas and engage them in active research collaboration. The Organ-2019 intends to present recent advances in tissue engineering related topics and their application in human healthcare.
Conference participants may be researchers, students, academics, industrialists, engineers, clinicians or others who are professionally associated with the topic of the conference.
