The Pride in STEM Research Showcase will present some of the diverse research being carried out by LGBT+ researchers in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) fields. During this one-day event, researchers from all over the UK will give an insight into both their research and work as well as their experiences as an LGBT+ person in STEM.
We encourage everyone to come along and hear about the fantastic work of our LGBT+ colleagues. The event will also include a poster session, at which all delegates are greatly encouraged to present some of their own research. Poster prizes will be awarded at the end of the day.
A keynote address will be given by Prof. Peter Coles, a theoretical astrophysicist from Maynooth University and Dr Verena Gortz, a materials chemist from Lancaster University. Other confirmed speakers include Dr. Thomas Bartsch, Dr Kirsty Flower, Dr Izzy Jayasinghe, and Dr Luciano Rila.
The event is free to attend, however spaces are limited and registration will close once the maximum capacity has been reached.
