The School will start on April 8, Sunday evening (6:00 pm); all lunches, including on Wednesday, and Monday dinner are covered by the registration fee. The school will end in the early afternoon of Wednesday and the Participants are expected to leave soon after, on April 11 afternoon.
The program intends to give to the audience some basic information and the common language of active pharmaceutical ingredients field.
The School will take place in Palazzo Feltrinelli, a XIX century villa overlooking the Garda lake which belongs to the Università degli Studi di Milano. A free bus service from Milano Centrale Railway Station to Gargnano will be organized (with stop overs at Milano Linate airport, Milano-Bergamo Orio al Serio airport, Brescia railway station) both on Sunday April 8 and on Wednesday 11 April, on the way back.

A limited number of free registrations will be granted to final year PhD students, upon evaluation of their CV by the Organizing Committee. Applicants must submit their Fellowship application form by fax or by e-mail to the School Secretary by March 2, 2018
The 2018 edition will include an Introduction to Pharmaceutical Industry, a historical perspective on APIs synthesis and several lectures aimed to understand the logic of the industrial development of a new product. The program will cover several topics, including synthetic route selection, API definition, solid state issues in APIs, process development, catalysis, thermal safety and practical considerations for scale-up, appropriate analytical work and quality definition of the target product, with a special attention to final product form and impurities. Case studies on API synthesis, polymorphism and thermal safety will be also presented.
The 2018 edition will include also three special lessons delivered by acclaimed scientists on Biocatalysis, Flow 91AV and Intellectual Property.
