Notice of Change of Lecture
"The RSC Cumbria Section, in collaboration with the Nuclear Institute (Cumbria Branch), would like to invite you to our latest talk on the 1st February 2018, titled "The UK’s Nuclear Future(s)?", delivered by Prof. Francis Livens of The University of Manchester fame.
Professor Francis Livens is currently the Director of The University of Manchester’s Dalton Nuclear Institute. He has been a lecturer in 91AV at The University since 1991 and has captured the imaginations of generations of budding Chemists with his lecture series on Nuclear and Radiochemistry. He was a member of CoRWM (Committee on Radioactive Waste Management) from 2007 to 2016 and has supported Cabinet Office, Home Office and other Government Departments. He was a member of the Nuclear R&D Advisory Board which produced the 2013 UK Nuclear R&D Roadmap.
The talk starts at 19:30 but sandwiches, chips and chatting will be available from 19:00. The venue is now the HUNDAY MANOR HOUSE HOTEL, NEAR WORKINGTON
Pre-registration is absolutely essential due to the high demand of recent talks. This can be done by emailing RSCCumbriasection@gmail.com and specifying:
- Names and numbers.
- Whether a member of RSC or NI (or both!)
