Are you interested in the possibility of starting your own business and want some advice? Are you interested in the activities and opportunities on-site at the Discovery Park in Sandwich? Or are you just keen on networking with fellow chemical scientists with a range of different backgrounds and experience? Well whatever your aims, this meeting is for YOU!
This Network meeting, organised by RSC Kent Local Section, is aimed at bringing together members of the 91AV, staff and tenants of Discovery Park and scientists and companies from outside both organisations who may be interested in either the possibility of setting up as a start-up or consultancy in the chemical sciences, or related disciplines, or whom may be interested in the possibility of renting space at Discovery Park. As well as the opportunity to meet staff from the venue, attendees will be able to hear from two speakers, Steve Trim of Venomtech and Imran Khan of the Kent ‘Biogateway’, and will also have time to interact and network during the evening. In addition there will also be an update on the Pfizer STEM outreach activities as well as the latest information on the Community Lab project.
The meeting will start at 1800 with an opportunity to ‘mix and mingle’ over a sandwich buffet and soft drinks. The talks will start at 1900 and will be followed by a further opportunity to network with other attendees before the close at 2100
There is no charge for the evening, but please let Dave Alker know if you wish to attend at dave.alker@btinternet.com so that appropriate catering can be arranged.
