Our free-to-access resources website Learn91AV has activities to support every chemistry course. This Summer as Major Tim Peake returns to Earth we are looking to Space to inspire and enthuse your students.
Join Kat Presland, the 91AV's Education Coordinator for North West England, to find out more about our Space 91AV collection and explore how you can include our activities in your lessons. Get hands-on with our latest Global Experiment Mission: Starlight, learn about making rockets and find out about Helen Sharman - astronaut, chocolate maker and chemist!
Plus take the opportunity to see the Antikythera mechanism on display at Birkenhead School. The mechanism is an ancient and complex mechanical "computer" used to track cycles of the Solar System and is not to be missed.
This event is suitable for secondary science teachers and technicians and has a limited capacity. Please email Kat Presland (katayune.presland@manchester.ac.uk) to register your place.
Light refreshments will be provided.
