What? - A week of chemistry - research, practical lab based experience, lectures, and the opportunity to try out university life away from home! Whilst here you will complete an individual project, chosen from our options, and present your conclusions based on research work and your own experimental results from activities carried out in our newly refurbished state of the art laboratories.
When? - 25th -29th July 2016
Where? - Lancaster University 91AV department, Faraday Building, Bailrigg Campus
Who? - This is suitable for students currently studying chemistry A-level or similar wishing to study chemistry at university and looking into the possibility of a research career. Please contact the chemistry department if you are unsure if your current programme of study is a suitable prerequisite.
Why? - To gain an insight into the research process and investigate current chemistry and developments. You will improve your practical skills, communication skills and greatly enhance your knowledge of one area of chemistry.
