"TWO companies, TWO site tours, ONE day!! Siemens and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) will demonstrate the versatility of chemistry used in their respective industries to ChemNet members. At each site you will receive an overview of the company and the plant, go on a site tour and then take part in a hands-on activity. 16-18 year old ChemNet members will visit GSK from 9.30-12 and then be transported to Siemens, 1 mile down the road, for the afternoon part of the visit from 12.30-3. The team at Siemens in Ulverston provide the most reliable subsea connection systems to the oil and gas industry and GSK in Ulverston is the now the location of the new start of the art biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Come and see the versatility and opportunities chemistry can provide.
