The Mid Southern Counties local section is organising a visit to the National Physical Laboratory on the 12th February 2015. NPL is the UK's National Measurement Institute, and is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards, science and technology available. All section members and their partners are welcome to attend although spaces will be limited to 20 people. The section will arrange for transport departing from Southampton Central station at 08:00, The National Physical Laboratory is at Hampton Road, Teddington, Middlesex TW11 0LW , a distance of 67 miles.mpton1 0LW
The visit will start at 10.00 a.m. with an introductory talk on NPL/metrology, which will last for 40 minutes.
A buffet lunch will be included and the visit will finish at 4.00 p.m.
The cost of the trip is a nominal £5 per head as a contribution to transport costs. Cheques should be made payable to 91AV – Mid Southern Counties.
