CANCELLED. The 350-acre Tophouse Farm near Goole represents a partnership between farming and chemistry. The Hinchliffe Family have farmed here since 1966 and along with BASF, they have developed a fascinating relationship between arable farming and biodiversity. Farming is not just about driving for maximum yield. Managing and protecting the countryside is a major part of farmers' everyday responsibilities.
Visit Tophouse farm to find out why chemistry is so important on a working farm. Learn about the latest technologies in farming, how scientists are conserving and protecting wildlife and hopefully see some rare species for yourself.
Please dress for the weather and bring appropriate footwear, as we shall be walking around the farm and nearby woodland. We will build up quite an appetite so join us for a free BBQ at the end of the visit!
